Back at home

The crepe myrtles have exploded into pink since I left.  Birds of Paradise, yellow Esperanza, orange butterflies on purple flowers--a profusion of colors welcomed us back to San Antonio after one of those weeks when all seems right with the world.

Came home to newly painted peach walls

I usually travel solo these days, so it was particularly wonderful that Will coordinated his flights with mine. He was a great traveling companion.

We visited with lots of teachers, friends, and family at Marcus' back yard Texas Barbecue party after graduation.  Went to Eastern market, several good eateries in Mosaic, and spent hours on the Leary back porch admiring Day's and Tom's landscaping.

We enjoyed a meal at Nando's where Marcus begins work this week.

Bonnie and Elena picked us up last night and we went straight to Janet's to pick up furry girl and watch Elena be inspired by Janet's sewing studio.

Today we're all resting and transitioning back to a blazing Texas summer.

Will getting a sewing tutorial from his sister
so he can pass it on to Elena
