October in Georgia, Halloweek (a new word I just learned in the NYT word games)

Jocelyn and Carlene and I had Sunday lunch in the dining hall yesterday, Bob just in from a trip to Niagara Falls and Buffalo.  Then last night Jocelyn and Bob came over to my house and I opened my birthday presents from them and had chicken and salads at my dining table.

It's 56 degrees and I'm about to don my new winter jacket and take Luci for a walk.  This marks our one-week mark and already this is feeling like a second home.
