Creative Daisy

My daughter, Day (aka Daisy), started making things as soon as she found the crayon box and paper, and she's never stopped.  As a little girl, she would sit for hours making costumes, designing fashions, and making little hand-made menus for whatever cookies/jello/sandwiches she decided to make for us.

Her journals are beautiful--with words and drawings.  She makes altered clothes, amazing quilts, and such pretty rooms.

She just sent me this--a picture of an old leather ottoman that she covered this weekend, fabric on the bottom and a quilted piece on the top. In the middle of remodeling her house, teaching high school English, taking two boys to lacrosse--she somehow finds time to take an old beat-up ottoman and make it stunning?  Oh how I love this girl! (woman--to everyone but her mama)
