They kept this new back porch a secret--and what a great addition it is to their house in Helotes!
Veronica made a delicious dinner and we ate on the porch, Will playing the guitar, Elena singing along. I so enjoyed watching their bright yellow hummingbirds and the chickens walking around outside the fence. It was a wonderful send-off for my trip which begins tomorrow as soon as I get the car packed, a happy night!
We had salmon cakes and curried rice and roasted asparagus--everything so yummy. For dessert, Veronica made strawberry pie, a recipe I'd given her back when Will and Veronica were high school sweethearts.
